This month, Sony is unveiling the lineup of complimentary games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Starting June 3, PS Plus members can grab several free offerings: NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and an expansion for Destiny 2 titled “The Final Shape” (the Destiny 2 expansion becomes available from May 28). Don’t forget to grab May’s PlayStation Plus free games before they disappear next Tuesday, if you haven’t already.
The upcoming phase of Destiny 2 begins in June, however, if you haven’t already, you can catch up on the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga with The Final Shape. This exhilarating journey marked the culmination of Destiny’s first decade, introduced a new Prismatic subclass, and added numerous new weapons to the game. To play it, you’ll need Destiny 2, but luckily, the base game is free-to-play.
Fans of sports, particularly basketball, can play NBA 2K25 and enjoy a game of hoops. However, be aware that this version contains some extremely troublesome microtransactions. Despite the game’s core experience being enjoyable due to its realistic visuals and feel, it is marred by numerous pay-to-win systems.
If you’re in the mood for something reminiscent of the past, take a look at Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a title that carries on the legacy of Jet Set Radio. With its 2000s ambiance, pulsating soundtrack, and cel-shaded graphics, traversing the city of New Amsterdam in this game will give you an exhilarating experience. Lastly, while Alone in the Dark might not offer the best survival-horror adventure, the recent remake of the 1992 game retains its appeal and boasts a lively cast of characters, portrayed by actors David Harbour and Jodie Comer.
