Pixel-art RPG Manafinder II set to release for PC in 2027

Wolfsden is developing Manafinder II, a retro-style, turn-based RPG for PC (Steam) scheduled to launch in 2027.

This game is a follow-up to Manafinder, which came out in 2022. Although Wolfsden says the two games will be linked, Manafinder II is also designed to be enjoyed on its own, without needing to play the first one.

You can find the announcement trailer, a description, and screenshots courtesy of Wolfsden below. The official website is also linked here.

Okay, so I’m super excited about this game, Manafinder II! It’s coming to Steam in 2027, and it’s a turn-based RPG set in a fantasy world. You play as Rey, and basically, you’re trying to find your place in a world that’s kind of turned against you. You’ll be battling all sorts of crazy monsters and bigger threats, and thankfully, you won’t be doing it alone – you’ll team up with a bunch of different allies along the way. Wolfsden LLC is the team behind it, and it looks awesome!

Overview

Nearly all creatures have accepted that humanity is gone, but a few remain determined to finish the job and make sure humans stay extinct.

Cities and towns now lie in ruins, inhabited by bitter, hostile creatures known as the Purged. Beyond these ruins, the land of Theia remains untamed. Rey, believed to be the last human alive, has chosen to live a solitary life, hoping to fade away in peace. But his companion, Remus – a Luperci with wolf-like qualities – arrives with news that will change everything…

The world does not need saving; you do

Manafinder II is a classic RPG played like older console games. Battles are turn-based, and success depends on how well you utilize each character’s strengths, choose the right weapons, and exploit enemy weaknesses using different elements.

Journey through varied landscapes – from thick fungal forests to the Luperci town of Alba and the crumbling human ruins of Cuauhtla – and battle dangerous creatures, the Purged, and other enemies!

This story explores the full range of human experience – from hope and love to despair and anger – and ultimately focuses on the struggle to survive.

Manafinder II is the follow-up to Wolfsden LLC’s first game, Manafinder, which was released in 2022. You don’t need to have played the original Manafinder to understand and enjoy the new game.

Players can wishlist Manafinder II starting today on Steam.
