As someone who has been following the development of Pioneers of Pagonia since its early days, I must say that the upcoming Magic Update is shaping up to be quite the game-changer! The introduction of new magical units, the arcane academy, and the treasure hunter are elements that have long been anticipated by the community.
In the towns of Pagonia, a magical transformation is on the horizon! After the Mining and Co-op updates, Envision Entertainment continues to move closer to their vision for Pioneers of Pagonia. As the fourth significant update for the game, players can look forward to fresh features and enhancements for an even better gaming experience.
The arrival of ominous figures known as “The Cursed” compelled the settlers to delve into ancient magic for self-protection. In this game, players can harness the potent spells of the Warlock and Sorceress magical units, which originate from a fresh Arcane Academy equipped with enchanted weapons imbued with gems and jewelry. Additionally, new structures and resources are integrated into the game to accommodate the introduction of these mystical combatants.
In the latest Magic Update, a newcomer joins the scene – the Treasure Hunter, a versatile explorer unit designed to aid players in unearthing hidden wealth, concealed weapon caches, and long-lost relics within the realm of Pagonia. This Treasure Hunter excels at its role by employing ancient maps of treasure or acquiring them through trading expeditions.
In addition to the latest content upgrade, Envision Entertainment is working diligently to rectify ongoing issues within the game, aiming to enhance the gaming experience for all players.
“Through a press statement, Envision explains that they’ve significantly enhanced the initial gameplay experience for new players in Pagonia, aiming to make it more accessible and swift. Instead of lengthy instructions, new players will now learn about the game and crucial mechanics by watching brief video tutorials while they construct their first settlement.”
A steep learning curve was one of our biggest issues when we wrote our Pioneers of Pagonia First Impressions article. It’s great to see Envision Entertainment taking proactive steps to address these difficulties.
Pioneers of Pagonia Magic Update Release Schedule
Players can enjoy the quality-of-life improvements before the Magic Update arrives, since there’s going to be a smaller Quality-of-Life (QOL) update taking place in September instead.
Visitors to PAX West can preview the novel magical units ahead of time at Envision Entertainment’s booth, located in the Arch Expo Hall, Level 4, #634, beginning this very weekend. For those who can’t make it, an open beta for the update will be available towards the end of October, with a complete release scheduled for November.
