Originally launched as Pickmon in March, this survival crafting game faced criticism for its creatures – called Pickmon – resembling characters from a famous Nintendo series. Players build teams of these creatures, utilizing their special skills to explore and survive in a vast world, and can even ride some of them as mounts.
People watching the game’s previews have noticed monsters that look a lot like popular Pokémon like Charizard and Pikachu. They’ve also compared the way the game is played to a game called Palworld. However, one key difference is that instead of using Poké Balls to catch creatures, this game uses cards.
After receiving criticism, the game’s developer, Pocketgame, said they will rename the game to make it more easily identifiable.

The statement also explains that the new name is stronger and better represents the exciting fantasy world we’re creating.
Okay, so they changed the game’s name, but honestly, the monsters you’ll be fighting – they’re still called Pickmon!
