As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that my beloved YouTube fitness guru, PhillyD, has recently posted an update on his ongoing transformation journey, now entering its fourth year. His commitment to wellness continues to inspire me!
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but marvel at the impressive following of Philip DeFranco, boasting over 6.6 million subscribers. With nearly two decades worth of videos under his belt on YouTube, he stands tall among the most enduring and widely-respected news personalities on this platform.
Starting from 2021, he embarked on a journey to improve his health during what he referred to as his “midlife crisis.” Since then, he’s been sharing updates on his progress with his followers every three months. His objectives include running longer distances and increasing the weight he lifts, among other things.
On the 30th of April this week, PhillyD shared his quarterly report, disclosing his advancements as he works towards completing a half-marathon.

In the photos, it’s evident that DeFranco has shed a considerable amount of pounds, and he’s consistently been focusing on muscle development throughout the years.
Things are going great with my midlife transformation! (First picture dates back to 2021/2022) In my recent post, I shared that I’ve been lifting weights 2-3 times more than what I was doing eight months ago, thanks to my Tonal. Although I’m almost able to run a half marathon, I’m still struggling with ‘tiredrunnersyndrome’, which typically hits me at the 7-8 mile mark.
In the post, Phil referred to a device known as Tonal, which boasts itself as the “world’s most intelligent home fitness system,” offering an extensive range of workout options.
His post soon attracted the focus of fans, among them being MrBeast, who recently posted about his recent fitness progress in April.
Donaldson expressed his appreciation with “I love it,” and DeFranco playfully responded, “Seems like I’m preparing for my villain role in Beast Games Season 2. Gotta find ways to keep others out of my income category.”
Another asked about his diet, prompting PhillyD to give some insight about what he’s been eating.
For the most part, it’s just a bit of a change here and there. In the morning, I whip up a large vegetable omelette. Later, I have a big protein bowl with Greek yogurt, granola, and an abundance of raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. At lunch, I eat a salad with chicken, followed by a protein shake. Whatever Linz prepares for dinner,” he explained.
