As a diehard Phasmophobia fan, I can’t contain my excitement! This summer, we’re getting our hands on the highly anticipated “Chronicle” update for this spine-tingling paranormal investigation horror indie game. Remember when Phasmophobia exploded onto the scene in 2020 during early access? Since then, its chills, cooperative gameplay, and groundbreaking design have kept us on our toes with a perfect blend of fear and fun. Now, just a year after its console release, the “Chronicle” update is poised to reshape some significant aspects of the game. Can’t wait to dive back in!
The game titled “Chronicle” is scheduled to launch on June 24, 2025 as a complimentary update for the primary version. This update will bring about a significant revamp in the existing evidence gathering system within the game. Three new types of evidence will be introduced, one of which is an innovative sound-based category, along with new gadgets, a revamped journal design, and many other enhancements.
Everything Coming To The Game In Chronicle
New Equipment, New Evidence System, And A Lot More
The latest update for the Chronicle is quite substantial. One of the major novelties introduced is a Sound Recorder tool. This Sound Recorder will serve as our primary new asset for collecting audio evidence related to the paranormal, and it will be available in three distinct upgrade levels. Players can expect to record sounds from ghost activities, spirit box replies, and other strange noises.
Moreover, the journal undergoes a complete makeover. Instead of the Photos tab, there will be a comprehensive Media tab, which will consolidate all types of paranormal proof: photos, videos, and fresh audio recordings. Now, all evidence will be stored in one location, making it easier for players to organize their samples efficiently.
In a revamped game feature, the method for gathering and storing evidence is getting an upgrade. When you first record any form of evidence during a mission, it’ll be tagged as “Unique,” providing additional cash and experience points upon contract completion. However, if you collect more evidence of the same type later on, it will be labeled as “Duplicates,” offering lesser rewards. The updated system also introduces tiered bonuses based on the gear utilized and consolidates all media captures into a Reward Multiplier.
Ultimately, the game Phasmophobia will undergo numerous significant updates. The leveling and advancement mechanisms are being revamped, a fresh main menu user interface is being implemented, and various bug corrections and overall enhancements are planned.
Chronicle Gives Even More Life To Phasmophobia
The Game Keeps Getting Better
The update for “Chronicle” is significant, promising to attract fresh enthusiasm towards the game and equip veteran players with novel tools. As part of Phasmophobia’s 2025 game plan, “Chronicle” is merely a sneak peek into what the future holds for 2025. Later in this year, expect an upgrade to player characters, introduction of new maps, and seasonal events tailored for Halloween and Christmas.
In just under a month, enthusiasts will barely need to endure any longer before diving back into the game, equipped with fresh tools and an improved evidence collection process following the upcoming Chronicle update. It appears that the terrifying thrill of Phasmopobia continues to be a persistent present for its fans.
