Kinetic Games, the creators of Phasmophobia, announced a new map for the game: an abandoned restaurant called Neil’s Diner. They revealed the location during a celebration at TwitchCon marking the game’s fifth anniversary, and players will be able to investigate it starting November 11th.
Kinetic Games calls Neil’s Diner a dilapidated, old-fashioned restaurant that’s been left empty for a long time. Though it’s one of the smaller locations in Phasmophobia, it’s packed with realistic details and ghosts eager to scare you.
Nell’s Diner was a natural fit for the game, and creating it has been a really enjoyable process,” said Daniel Knight, the lead developer, in a recent announcement. “Like the updated farmhouse map, Nell’s shows the direction we want to take all of Phasmophobia’s maps – creating unique locations with detailed designs that tell a story, adding to the experience beyond just finding a ghost.
Phasmophobia is getting a major update, dubbed Horror 2.0, when version 1.0 launches next year. The developers at Kinetic Games promise this update will significantly change the game, almost making it feel brand new. Beyond that, the popular horror production company Blumhouse – known for films like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Paranormal Activity – is working on a Phasmophobia movie!
