PewDiePie was taken aback when YouTube personality Chris Broad playfully suggested that PewDiePie had been tricked by him over a GoPro, as PewDiePie had misplaced the camera during their trip together.
Once more, internet personality Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg will team up with CDawgVA and Chris Broad for their Cyclathon event. During this event, these popular figures stream themselves cycling through Japan, all in aid of charity, regardless of the weather.
While taking a pause from their journey in Hokkaido at a local eatery, Chris reminisced about an old event involving PewDiePie misplacing his GoPro Hero9, which he had used for filming underwater. These cameras typically cost between $150 and $200.
Based on what Chris mentioned, Pewds had waited years before upgrading his GoPro. By then, the GoPro Hero12 had become the newest model of the camera. Yet, even though it was newer, PewDiePie provided him with a GoPro9 to replace the old one instead.
PewDiePie baffled after Chris Broad says he “scammed” him out of GoPro
“Chris said that Felix had purchased a new item for him. His response was something like, ‘Oh, thanks, Felix.’ At that moment, it was actually a GoPro 12. However, instead of getting the latest model to replace the one he’d broken, he ended up with a GoPro 9. But Chris wasn’t given the pristine new version… This is how you create wealth across generations,” Chris quipped.
Kjellberg was taken aback by the accusation and quickly displayed the receipt on his phone as evidence of his innocence. “You said, ‘Don’t worry about it, you don’t need a new one,'” he countered, chuckling throughout. “I thought, ‘Let me be kind.’
Yet, upon checking his Amazon purchase history, it turned out he had ordered a GoPro Hero10 for Chris, which is significantly less advanced than the Hero12 model.
Chris quipped, “I can’t imagine where you found that, it’s not on sale! In fact, it was less expensive to purchase the latest GoPro than the model two generations older!
“I don’t know my cameras!” PewDiePie argued. “I thought I was doing something nice.”
As a gaming enthusiast, it’s obvious that there’s no beef between these well-known influencers; they were just having a laugh about my “generational wealth” I’ve accumulated throughout my successful journey as one of YouTube’s top content creators.
Since 2022, the YouTube personality relocated to Japan, where he recently became a father for the first time to a baby named Bjorn. He’s also made the exciting decision to buy land and construct a home to nurture his expanding family. When possible, he connects with other expats CDawg and Chris in their shared experiences.
