Persona 5: The Phantom X Japanese and Western updates will be accelerated to catch up with East Asia

I, as a dedicated gamer, was thrilled to learn about the latest updates for Persona 5: The Phantom X, straight from Atlus and Sega’s Japanese live stream. It seems they’re speeding up the update process for both the Japanese and English versions of this free-to-play game. Their goal? To close the gap with the Chinese and East Asian versions that have already been released, ensuring a more unified experience for all of us gamers worldwide.

To set the record straight, the game P5X made its debut in China during April 2024, with the country receiving updates directly as well. Subsequently, it was launched in other East Asian regions such as Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and South Korea, with a delay of approximately one week compared to China. As for the current status, the Chinese version of P5X is currently midway through Chapter 4 of its main storyline, and content and characters from Persona 3 Reload are being progressively introduced.

On July 10, following maintenance, both the Japanese and Western versions of P5X will receive the Version 1.1 update. This update will introduce the concluding part of Chapter 2’s main storyline, as well as fresh Synergy events involving Shun “Soy” Kano. It is suggested that in the Japanese and Western servers, YUI “BUI” and Minami “Marian” Miyashita, who were previously added separately in the original Chinese release, will be released concurrently.

The Phantom X has been launched globally on PC, Android, and iOS platforms. Notably, the Southeast Asian server was delayed by a week compared to the Japanese and Western releases, so we anticipate they’ll receive this update next week.
