Performance Issues in No More Room in Hell 2 (NMRiH2). Lags and Stutters Are Here

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that my excitement for No More Room in Hell 2 was palpable when it was released in early access. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration as I encountered technical issues that have become all too familiar in modern gaming.

A sequel to the well-known free-to-play co-op horror – No More Room in Hell 2 – was officially released in early access. Unfortunately, this title, like many other modern games, suffers from technical problems. Some players complain about lags and stuttering. In this guide you will learn more about these issues.

No More Room in Hell 2 Lags and Stuttering Explained

On Steam’s discussion board, there are posts detailing issues such as lag, stuttering, and crashes in the game “No More Room in Hell 2”. To begin with, let’s address the first problem since it’s simpler to explain. Essentially, players are being directed to various lobbies rather than those that are geographically closer to them in NMRiH2, which is causing server-related problems. We’ve written a separate article about this issue, but for brevity, let me rephrase it like this: Players are being placed in randomly selected lobbies instead of the nearest ones in NMRiH2, leading to server difficulties.

When it comes to issues like crashing and lagging, it’s much the same as with other recent product launches. Regrettably, there aren’t any perfect fixes available at this time.

  1. First you should update your graphics card drivers – this is the simplest fix which may work.
  2. If you manage to open the game, you can also lower your graphic settings to reduce component usage (especially graphic cards).
  3. Sometimes the applications that work in the background (like Discord) also cause performance issues. So, you can try turning them off.
  4. If you experience out of memory error, it may not be NMRiH2 fault but your CPU’s. We have written about it for example in our other guides.

A possible solution for these problems is to be patient and keep an eye out for upcoming fixes. Since the game is currently in early release, there will be regular updates coming your way.
