‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’ Adds ‘Mindhunter’ Star as It Preps Season 3

The Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians is adding actors known from shows like Mindhunter, Billions, and The Flash for its third season. The show, which premiered in December 2023, has become a popular hit, and the current second season will finish with its final episode on January 21, 2026.

Holt McCallany, known for his roles in Mindhunter, The Iron Claw, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, will join Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Season 3. He’s been cast as Atlas, the powerful titan forced to hold up the sky, and will be the season’s primary villain. According to Deadline, Atlas is seeking revenge against the gods and will appear in six episodes, becoming a recurring antagonist throughout the series.

David Costabile will join the cast as Dr. Thorn, the strict headmaster of a military academy who expects his students to follow his rules. He’ll be a key villain in Season 3, appearing in multiple episodes. Costabile is known for his roles in popular shows like Billions, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul. Jessie L. Martin, a Broadway performer and former star of The Flash, will also appear as Frederick Chase, the father of Annabeth Chase (played by Leah Sava Jeffries).

Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada. This season will be based on the third book in the series, The Titan’s Curse, which was published in May 2007. The story follows Percy (Walker Scobell) as he tries to rescue Annabeth Chase and Artemis from Atlas. Dafne Keene, known for her role in Logan, will join the cast as Artemis, and Saara Chaudry will play Zoë Nightshade. Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie will star as Nico and Bianca di Angelo, the children of Hades, who was previously portrayed by Jay Duplass in Season 1.
