Pedro Pascal Discusses The “Sick Pleasure” Of The Last Of Us Season 2

Pedro Pascal, who portrays Joel in HBO’s The Last of Us, has shared his thoughts on the “occasionally dark delight” of working on this post-apocalyptic show, stating that storytelling serves as a form of emotional release when the world around us is undergoing significant transformation and turbulence, much like what we’re experiencing currently.

He commented, as per Variety’s report, that there’s a unique blend of both healthiness and at times, morbid fascination in such catharsis, providing a secure environment to observe human connections during turbulent times and suffering, and then thoughtfully create political and societal parallels based on our current world.

During the interview with journalists, Pascal shared his enthusiasm about the upcoming second season of The Last of Us, following the success of the initial installment.

As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but feel an electrifying sense of anticipation when it comes to unveiling another installment of a game that fans have adored and developers have poured their heart and soul into.

Previously seen on HBO’s Game of Thrones, Pascal will once again take center stage in Season 2 as Joel. Alongside him, Bella Ramsey steps into the role of Ellie, while newcomer Kaitlyn Dever joins the cast as Abby.
