As a cinephile eagerly anticipating the big screen adaptation of “Peaky Blinders”, I’m thrilled to share that the esteemed director Tom Harper will be at the helm. Harper, who has previously steered several episodes of the series, is set to bring his unique vision to this highly anticipated film. The gritty drama first captivated audiences back in 2013 on BBC Two, and later found a dedicated fanbase in the U.S. through Netflix. After six gripping seasons, the show concluded in 2022, leaving us yearning for more. In an exciting turn of events revealed in June, we learned that a feature film is indeed in development, promising to be the perfect conclusion to this extraordinary saga.

It appears that Tommy Shelby had more work for me… It’s truly satisfying to once again be working alongside Steven Knight and Tom Harper, this time on the movie adaptation of ‘Peaky Blinders.’ This is certainly something the fans will appreciate,” Murphy stated back then.

In a collaborative effort, Knight authored the “Peaky Blinders” movie screenplay and jointly produces it with Murphy, Caryn Mandabach, and Guy Heeley. The executive producers for this project are Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason.

While details about the rest of the film’s actors are being withheld, it was recently announced that Murphy’s compatriot, Barry Keoghan, will be appearing in the movie, although the specifics of his character have not been disclosed yet.

Murphy, who was recently honored with an Oscar for his role as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the inventor of the atomic bomb in the historical film “Oppenheimer” directed by Christopher Nolan, is now back to the universe of “Peaky Blinders.
