Paul Giamatti Reflects on His Standout ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘Eulogy’: ‘There Were Lots of Things I Felt an Instinctual Relationship To’

As a diehard fan, I recently had the pleasure of hearing Paul Giamatti discuss the captivating similarities between himself and his character in the seventh season of “Black Mirror” during a SAG-AFTRA panel. This esteemed Academy Award nominee breathed life into Phillip, a role that has garnered immense acclaim for its gripping portrayal of regret, loss, and isolation. The thought-provoking sci-fi plot revolves around technology that resurrects forgotten memories of past relationships, allowing Phillips to reevaluate his previous romantic missteps.
