Path of Exile 2 Early Access Period Finally Announced

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours poured into the realm of ARPGs, I can confidently say that Path of Exile 2 piques my interest significantly. The prospect of a free-to-play sequel to an already engrossing game is music to my ears, and the Early Access launch this year only sweetens the deal.

As a passionate fan, I find Path of Exile 2 to be an enticing substitute for Diablo IV, primarily due to its free-to-play nature, similar to its predecessor. While we eagerly anticipate the release date for this action RPG, there’s no shortage of excitement in exploring the first game.

I’m thrilled to share that as a fan, I can look forward to securing my copy of the RPG soon, as PoE2 is set to debut in Early Access this year. Unlike most games that only offer Early Access on PC, this one breaks the mold by being available not just on PC but also on current-generation consoles.

The early access phase for Path of Exile 2 begins on November 15 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, as confirmed in a recent trailer. Keep in mind that since this is an early access period, certain parts of the game may have some rough edges, but these issues should be smoothed out before its official launch.

Following the initial Path of Exile, this free-to-play title promises to surpass its enormously successful forerunner in scale. Featuring a fresh campaign, new monsters, quests, and additional content, it’ll be intriguing to observe how this sequel builds upon the cherished original.

In Path of Exile 2, cross-play is anticipated to be significant as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles are roughly on par with today’s high-end computers in terms of power. Developers at Grinding Gear Games have also shown enthusiasm for local multiplayer (couch co-op), which could lead to thrilling real-life gaming sessions.

Although there’s no set launch date for Path of Exile 2 yet, Early Access will provide eager fans with something to look forward to in the meantime. For those craving more action RPG experiences, they can delve into the original Path of Exile or give Diablo IV a spin instead.
