Renowned animation studio Passion Paris has teamed up with respected game developer Amplitude Studios to create a fresh animated series within the cherished Endless universe. This collaboration was officially revealed today at the Annecy Animation Festival, where Passion Paris is also showcasing its upcoming preschool series titled “Not a Box.
Caroline Audebert, managing director and executive producer at Passion Paris, expressed great enthusiasm as they delve into the universe of Endless. ‘Amplitude has crafted a world brimming with history, characters, and ambiance,’ she said. ‘We’re collaborating intimately with their team to establish a visual aesthetic and narrative approach that embodies what players cherish about the series, as well as ushering in fresh tales for new fans.'”
Or more casually:
“Caroline Audebert from Passion Paris can hardly wait to dive into the Endless universe! ‘Amplitude’s world is bursting with stories and characters,’ she said. ‘We’re teaming up closely with them to create a visual style and storytelling that keeps the spirit of the series alive while also welcoming newcomers.’
The announcement follows closely on the heels of Amplitude’s unveiling of the early access launch date for “Endless Legend 2.” This is an important step for the series, as the studio intends to broaden the scope of the universe’s storytelling and breathe life into its intricate mythology in a fresh visual style.
For years, we’ve poured our passion into sculpting a world that resonates with our community, and now, partnering with Passion Pictures is the realization of that dream,” I, as a cinema devotee, would put it. “I’m thrilled about this collaboration and can hardly wait to witness our shared vision unfold in an exciting new cinematic format under Romain de Waubert de Genlis, CEO and co-founder at Amplitude Studios.
Passion Paris is ideally situated to introduce the Endless universe onto our screens. This esteemed studio has been part of various prominent animated productions, such as “400 Boys,” directed by Robert Valley for Netflix’s “Love, Death + Robots,” and “Not a Box,” set to premiere on Apple TV+ this Friday. Unlike other animation studios that stick to one specific style, Passion Paris prioritizes creative variety, tailoring artists, directors, and visual approaches to suit each individual tale.
Established in 2011, Amplitude Studios has earned a reputation as one of the top strategy gaming companies, thanks to its hit Endless series and the historical strategy game “Humankind.” The Endless collection consists of five well-received games and more than 80 civilizations, with numerous characters. With “Endless Legend 2” coming up, an animated series is planned to deepen fans’ involvement in the vast science-fantasy universe it presents.
