‘Paranormal Activity’ 15th Anniversary Screening to Kick Off Blumhouse and AMC Theatres’ BlumFest

As a seasoned film enthusiast who has spent countless hours huddled under blankets during October movie marathons, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s AMC Blumfest! With my heart pounding like a drum during a “Paranormal Activity” exorcism scene and my spine tingling at the thought of “The Black Phone,” this collaboration between Blumhouse and AMC Theatres is a dream come true for horror aficionados everywhere.

Blumhouse Productions, known for creating cinematic chills such as the “Paranormal Activity” series, the movie version of “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” and the AI-focused thriller “M3GAN,” is teaming up with AMC Theatres to mark the most haunting month – October.

The horror-themed movie event by AMC, known as Blumfest, commences on September 25, with a special 15th anniversary screening of “Paranormal Activity.” This six-week extravaganza will unfold every Wednesday in October, gracing screens in 54 cities nationwide. The lineup includes thrilling films such as “Lights Out,” “Insidious: Chapter 2,” “Happy Death Day,” and “The Black Phone.” Screenings are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., local time, with ticket prices set at a reduced rate. In addition to the main features, attendees will be treated to sneak peeks of upcoming Blumhouse productions, as well as exclusive messages from directors and stars associated with the films they’re watching.

Jason Blum, head of Blumhouse, expressed that this entire month is a heartfelt tribute to Halloween and our followers. He finds it hard to believe that we’re marking the 15th anniversary of ‘Paranormal Activity,’ as it seems like we’re only just beginning,” (said Jason Blum).

For the very first time, I’m thrilled about Blumfest, a joint venture by AMC and Blumhouse, expanding its horizons with a nationwide screening program. Previously, we’ve enjoyed their collaborative efforts during the Halfway to Halloween Film Festival back in March.

Even though AMC Network keeps Blumhouse film fans engaged throughout the year, the Halloween season really amps up the excitement for horror films,” commented Elizabeth Frank, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Programming and Chief Content Officer at AMC Theatres. “We’re thrilled to bring the BlumFest event to life on the big screen, showcasing popular movies, exclusive content, and unique bonus features.
