As a seasoned film enthusiast with over three decades of reel-life experiences under my belt, I must admit that this latest partnership between Paramount Global Content Distribution and MONO in Thailand is nothing short of blockbuster news!
Today, Paramount Global Content Distribution unveiled a fresh licensing deal with MONO in Thailand. This partnership aims to establish a Paramount+ extension on the streaming platform Monomax, set to debut in November.
The agreement, designed to broaden Paramount’s global strategy for enhancing the Paramount+ brand, was unveiled on Thursday at the APOS conference held in Indonesia. This announcement was made by Lisa Kramer, who is the president of international content licensing and global content distribution at Paramount.
In certain regions like Japan, the service is sold directly to consumers as a separate product. Meanwhile, in other places, it’s offered through partnership agreements that brand it under different names such as Cosmote in Greece, Streamz in Belgium, MultiChoice in Africa, JioCinema in India, and soon on Blast TV in the Philippines.
In the initial phase, the newly branded Paramount+ hub will grant Monomax subscribers access to content from Showtime, CBS Studios, and Paramount Pictures. This includes hit shows like FBI: International, NCIS, NCIS: Sydney, Mayor Of Kingstown, Tulsa King, and Halo. It also encompasses upcoming blockbuster movies such as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Hellraiser, and the “Mission: Impossible” series.
Through a partnership with Paramount Global Content Distribution, we can substantially boost our services as Paramount boasts a vast library of content that resonates strongly with Thai audiences,” expressed Navamin Prasopnet, the CEO of Mono.
As a fervent admirer, I’d rephrase it like this: “At Paramount Global Content Distribution, our main mission remains to bring top-notch entertainment to viewers, spanning various themes and genres, in fresh and inclusive formats. And that’s exactly what our recent partnership with Mono accomplishes.” – Dan Cohen, Chief Content Licensing Officer for Paramount and President of Republic Pictures.
The worldwide popularity of Paramount+’s branded streaming destinations offers a compelling choice for our clients, seeking to expand their subscriber base through popular content, as well as their viewers, who desire easy access to this content on a recognizable platform. This not only benefits our clients and their audience but also contributes to the growth of our business.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about the growth of media powerhouse Mono. They’re broadening their entertainment empire by providing a wide range of films and shows tailored to various tastes. Their premier digital TV channel, MONO29, is a fantastic, free platform brimming with blockbuster movies and popular series.
Monomax’s video streaming subscription provides content specifically curated for Thai audiences.
