I’m making a move from my role as Chief Financial Officer at Paramount Global to take on the same position at the dynamic gaming platform, Roblox. Excited for this new chapter!
After Chopra’s exit from Paramount, Andrew Warren, who already functions as a strategic advisor to the CEO’s office (under co-CEOs George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy, and Brian Robbins), and who was formerly the CFO of Discovery Communications, will take on an extra role as Executive Vice President and interim Chief Financial Officer at Paramount. The financial officer reshuffle at Paramount occurs while its $8 billion merger agreement with Skydance Media remains uncertain, waiting for FCC approval.
According to a recent SEC filing, Chopra informed Paramount that he would step down from his role, with his departure taking effect on June 27th.
On June 30, 2025, Naveen Chopra is set to take on the role of CFO at Roblox, as confirmed by the gaming company. In a statement, Roblox CEO and co-founder David Baszucki stated that Chopra’s extensive experience as a CFO at prominent companies gives him crucial financial and strategic insights to drive Roblox’s growth. His engineering background also allows him to effectively coordinate technical operations with financial strategy, making him a perfect fit for leading our continued innovation and success.
Before his current job at Paramount and his previous position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Discovery Communications, Warren held the role of CFO at STX Entertainment and NBCU Television Group. In his capacity as a strategic advisor to the CEO’s office at Paramount, he collaborates closely with top management on financial and strategic matters, as per the company.
Naveen’s leadership during a time of change and expansion is greatly appreciated, according to Paramount co-CEOs Cheeks, McCarthy, and Robbins in a statement on Monday.
