‘Paradise’ Trailer: Sterling K. Brown Denies Killing President James Marsden in ‘This Is Us’ Creator’s Hulu Drama

As a film enthusiast who has spent countless hours dissecting political dramas and thrillers, I must say that the trailer for “Paradise” on Hulu has piqued my interest immensely. The reunion of Sterling K. Brown and Dan Fogelman is always an exciting prospect, but when you add a presidential murder to the mix, it’s hard not to be intrigued.

On Thursday, Hulu unveiled the trailer for their upcoming drama titled “Paradise,” which brings Sterling K. Brown back together with “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman. The series, set to debut on January 28th, hints at a mysterious and sinister storyline revolving around a presidential assassination.

According to Hulu, “Paradise” takes place in a peaceful, affluent neighborhood populated by influential figures from around the globe. However, this idyllic setting is disrupted by a startling murder, leading to an intense investigative process filled with high-stakes drama.

In the trailer for “Paradise,” Brown’s character, Xavier Collins, is shown as the head of security for President Cal Bradford (portrayed by James Marsden). One fateful morning, Xavier discovers Cal dead and becomes a person of interest when it’s found that he was the last one to see the president alive. This leads to questioning by authorities who seem skeptical about his connection with the president, causing Xavier to undergo a polygraph test.

The scene shifts to a memory of when Cal was alive, and we find Xavier entering a meeting in the Oval Office with a sling on his arm. The president and a few others are present. They’re about to share sensitive information with Xavier at Cal’s behest, but he seems reluctant. However, Julianne Nicholson’s enigmatic character encourages him, saying, “You’ll find this intriguing.

The trailer provides quick peeks at an unspecified crisis and the subsequent turmoil, which character Xavier must maneuver through, being both Cal’s security guard and the father of two kids. It concludes by returning to the polygraph scene, where Sarah Shahi’s character asks Xavier if there’s a part of him that’s content with Cal’s death, and the interrogator discreetly signals for Xavier to respond affirmatively by showing an enigmatic cue: “Admit it.

Brown executive collaborates with creator Fogelman, along with John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rostenthal, and Steve Beers, in creating the show titled “Paradise.” This production comes from 20th Television.

The “Paradise” cast also includes Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV.
