‘Paradise’ Renewed for Season 2 at Hulu, ABC to Air Season 1 Beginning in April

The creator of “This Is Us,” Dan Fogelman, and the show’s leading actor, Sterling K. Brown, are set to continue their intriguing series “Paradise” for another season on Hulu.

EbMaster has learned production is set to begin on Season 2 this spring.

20th Television, a division of Disney, has created a political thriller that unfolds in the picturesque town of Paradise. This idyllic haven hosts influential figures worldwide, but after an apocalyptic incident, 25,000 residents find safety in an underground bunker. However, peace is shattered when President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) is brutally murdered, and Special Agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) must investigate his death and uncover the motive behind it.

With only two episodes remaining in the first season of the show, which concludes on March 4th on Hulu, the full first season of “Paradise” will start airing on ABC (a network owned by Disney, who also own Hulu) from April 7th at 10 p.m. ET.

The series kick-started with its pilot episode on both ABC (January 29) and FX (February 1). However, it was initially introduced to viewers on Hulu, where the first three episodes were released on January 28. Interestingly, even before that, its debut episode had an early release on Hulu on January 26.

The series titled “Paradise” garnered approximately 7 million views in its initial broadcast week, both within the U.S. via Hulu and internationally on Disney+. According to Disney’s early estimates from Nielsen, it appears that this show will secure a place among the top 10 streaming originals for the week of January 27th to February 2nd.

Among the exceptional cast of “Paradise”, I’m privileged to admire the talents of Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV. Each one brings a unique brilliance to the screen, making every scene captivating.

As a dedicated fan, I’m proud to say that this series is masterfully crafted under the expert guidance of a team including Dan Fogelman, Marc Guggenheim, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers. They’ve got a wealth of talent behind the scenes, making this show a must-watch for me!
