Palworld, which became incredibly popular on Steam last year when it first launched as an Early Access game, has been consistently updated. After five large updates and numerous smaller improvements, the developers have now announced the release date for the full version, 1.0.
Palword’s Early Access is coming to an end
The developers recently announced that Palworld will officially launch in 2026, moving out of its Early Access phase. While they haven’t given a specific date yet, it could happen anytime next year, so players might need to wait a bit longer.
John Buckley, who handles communications and publications at Pocketpair, announced that the team will prioritize fixing bugs and improving Palworld before the official launch. As a result, they’ll be less visible online in the coming months. The winter update will also be smaller in scope compared to last year’s Feybreak update.
Despite the recent news, Buckley assured players that updates are still coming and development on the game will continue at a good pace. In fact, version 1.0 is expected to be a major update for Palworld, adding a lot of new features. The developers want to take their time and ensure everything is done right, without rushing the process.
Palworld is a survival game that blends action and role-playing, and it’s been compared to Pokémon. After its release last year, it rapidly became popular on Steam, peaking with over 2.1 million players. The game is currently generating a lot of discussion, particularly due to a patent lawsuit filed by Nintendo.
Palworld is now available to play on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. It’s currently on sale on Steam for $22.49, but the sale ends on September 22nd.
