The game development company, Pocketpair (responsible for Palworld), is granting its team members a break to explore Monster Hunter Wilds, thereby providing them an early advantage when venturing into the Forbidden Lands.
The release date for Monster Hunter Wilds is fast approaching, with global players set to engage in combat with its fearsome creatures from February 28, 2025. Yet, many Hunters may find themselves stuck at work all day before they can transform into armchair Hunters. But if you’re lucky enough to work for Pocketpair, you might just be able to start your monster-slaying adventure a bit earlier!
On February 27th, Palworld developers announced they’d received several puzzling leave requests from their team members. The reasons given were that these individuals had suddenly felt unwell. Interestingly, those requesting time off for relaxation, which some humorously referred to as hunting, found the devs also jumping on the joke.
Palworld devs give employees Monster Hunter Wilds surprise
In a recent update about X, Palworld devs stated: “A number of our team members have mentioned they might not feel well tomorrow, so we’re granting an extra day off. This should give everyone the opportunity to prioritize their health and wellbeing, as opposed to possibly working overtime in Monster Hunter Wilds.

In Japan, the Monster Hunter series holds immense popularity; so much so, that one of its legendary monsters, Yian Kut-Ku, has a dedicated day in honor. Additionally, a retailer plans to introduce a PS5 rental service around the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the series transcends the concept of being ‘popular.’
