I was so excited to see Conan and Robert Downey Jr. together again! It feels like a natural follow-up to that hilarious and surprisingly poignant moment on Conan’s podcast last year, when Conan had to tell Robert about the Jeff Epstein stuff. And what a year Robert’s been having! Not only was he in the Best Picture winner, but he was everywhere – in HBO’s The Chair Company, Happy Gilmore 2, and there was even a Peacock documentary, Downey Wrote That, all about his time writing for Saturday Night Live. Honestly, having him close out the Oscars, even if people were already heading for the exits and ordering rideshares, felt like the perfect way to celebrate everything he’s accomplished.

Doug Liman directed this film, even though Amazon decided against a traditional wide release in theaters. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who finds work as a bouncer at a tough bar in the Florida Keys. The film also features Conor McGregor, Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Jessica Williams, JD Pardo, Austin Post, and Joaquim de Almeida.

Early reviews are in for the new season of Invincible, and they’re overwhelmingly positive! The show currently has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning critics love it. While this is based on just 10 reviews so far – and could change as more come in – the initial response suggests the show is as strong as ever. It’s continuing the perfect runs it had with Seasons 2 and 3, adding to the already impressive 98% ‘Certified Fresh’ rating Season 1 received.

I absolutely love The Faculty! It’s about a group of high school kids who realize their teachers are being taken over by aliens. It didn’t get the greatest reviews when it first came out and didn’t make a ton of money at the box office, but over time it’s really become a favorite for a lot of us movie fans – it’s a true cult classic.

The new series picks up after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It follows Maul as he tries to rebuild his criminal organization on a planet the Empire hasn’t reached. There, he meets a discouraged young Jedi student who might become his apprentice and help him continue his quest for revenge.
