Backyard Baseball Is Getting An Animated Special

Tiffany Haddish, known for her roles in ‘Girls Trip’ and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die,’ will be the voice of Kiesha Phillips, and Arturo Castro, from ‘Tron: Ares’ and ‘Narcos,’ will voice Pablo Sanchez. However, the upcoming animated ‘Backyard Baseball’ short appears to center around the character Stephane “Bubbles” Morgan, and Ego Nwodim, a veteran of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ will voice him. Nwodim recently voiced Twiggy in ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie’.

Pac-Man Goes Trick-Or-Treating In Google’s Halloween Doodle

Pac-Man became a massive hit as soon as it appeared in Japanese arcades in 1980. Created by Toru Iwatani, the game’s design was actually inspired by a pizza with a slice taken out! It was different from the popular space shooter games of the time, and its simple gameplay—eating dots, avoiding ghosts, and navigating mazes—was instantly addictive. Pac-Man even gave its ghosts unique personalities and names—Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde—which was a new level of character development for video games.

Nintendo Denied Japanese Patent For Pokemon-Like Capturing Mechanic

Nintendo recently tried to patent a gameplay feature where players throw an item to capture characters – similar to how Pokeballs work in Pokemon. However, as Video Games Chronicle reported, the patent was rejected. Another company provided evidence showing that this capture mechanic already exists in several other games, including Ark, Craftopia, and Monster Hunter 4, proving it wasn’t a unique invention by Nintendo.

It comes in a special, limited-edition, numbered Pelican case. The controller’s colors are pulled from the game’s landscapes, and it features clear windows that let you see the internal components.

REVIEW: “Safe House” (2025)

Written by Leon Langford, “Safe House” is a fast-paced action thriller that, despite a few predictable plot points, keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s impressive how much the filmmakers achieved with a limited budget, and the actors all deliver solid performances, often bringing depth to their roles beyond what’s written in the script.

The Witcher Recap: Thou Art a Villain

As a long-time fan, I’m really enjoying how much bigger the world of The Witcher feels this season. We’ve always loved Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, but what’s really working in the fourth season – especially as we’re halfway through – is the focus on all the other fascinating, morally grey characters and the villains. Seeing how everyone reacts to threats like Vilgefortz and the Nilfgaardian empire is bringing out some unexpected sides of them. It’s compelling to watch where all these powerful figures are ending up and who they’ll align with – it really feels like anything could happen across the Continent!
