Many actors have played Batman over the years, both in live-action films and animated series. We’ve seen stars like Robert Pattinson – who will reprise the role in The Batman 2 in 2027 – Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, and Christian Bale bring the Dark Knight to life on screen. On the animated side, Kevin Conroy, Troy Baker, and Jensen Ackles are just a few of the voices that have defined the character. Now, Ethan Hawke almost became a live-action Batman, but he’s ended up joining the ranks of those who’ve voiced the hero instead.

A permit application filed in early March 2026 identifies Walt Disney Imagineering as the applicant and Adirondack Studios as the builder. The documents don’t specify what kind of show will be featured in the space, and Disney hasn’t shared any further information about when it might open.

According to Liz Jenkins, a business leader at NBCUniversal Entertainment, bringing a UK version of Saturday Night Live to Peacock is a logical next step for the show’s established brand. She stated that Peacock, as the streaming platform for SNL, is excited to showcase fresh comedic talent from Britain to an international audience.
