How Much XRP Is Evernorth Really Buying? The Confusion Is REAL 😱

Evernorth’s upcoming Nasdaq listing through a merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II is supposedly gonna raise over $1 billion. But (oh yes, there’s a “but”) some folks are wondering how much of that cash will actually go toward buying XRP on the open market, versus being, well, gifted in-kind. I mean, who doesn’t love a little freebie? 💸

YouTuber Agent Ratliff sued for posing as federal agent, false imprisonment & assault

Earlier in August, comedian Trevor White, known for his character work as an ‘OCDA’ agent in online sketch videos, visited Holmes Building Materials pretending to be an investigator. He wore a fake uniform and carried a clipboard, claiming to look into potential employee discrimination. Staff directed him to a back office where he filmed a confrontation with a supervisor.

Nobody Wants This Wants Feeling Jewish to Be Enough

In the season finale of Nobody Wants This, Joanne (Kristen Bell) reveals to her friends that her boyfriend, Noah (Adam Brody), has asked her about converting to Judaism, and she’s considering it. However, she soon realizes that Noah can’t maintain his religious beliefs while also being with her if she doesn’t commit to conversion. During a tearful conversation at his niece’s bat mitzvah, she breaks up with him, believing it’s the least painful option. But in the final moments of the episode, they reconcile and kiss, with Noah admitting he can’t have both a relationship with her and stay true to his faith – and making it clear he chooses her.

Johnny Depp Reportedly in Talks to Play Mean Old Man

After a 2018 court decision sided with a British newspaper that labeled him an abuser based on allegations from his ex-wife, Amber Heard, Johnny Depp faced a significant decline in film roles. Although he won a 2022 defamation trial against Heard – with the court finding both parties had defamed each other – he hasn’t yet appeared in a major studio film. However, Depp is gradually returning to acting, having recently finished filming the thriller Day Drinker with Penélope Cruz, scheduled for release in 2026. Whether A Christmas Carol will be considered part of his career resurgence remains to be seen.

One and a Half Days at Aaron Sorkin’s Canadian January 6

Sony Pictures says the new movie, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, will be thematically similar to his 2010 film, The Social Network (though David Fincher isn’t involved). While Jeremy Strong is playing a role similar to Mark Zuckerberg (previously played by Jesse Eisenberg), the story will focus on Frances Haugen, the whistleblower who leaked documents to The Wall Street Journal. These leaks revealed issues like the spread of anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, negative effects on young people, and Meta’s decision to shut down an internal project fighting misinformation. Haugen argued this inaction contributed to the January 6th Capitol attack, and the film will include a recreation of that event. A video from the set, showing actors portraying rioters at a building dressed to look like the Capitol (actually Vancouver’s Art Gallery), was briefly posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account before being taken down. Photos from the scene have also surfaced on Reddit, with reports that paid actors were used for the reenactment.
