I’m so excited for fellow anime fans! Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc absolutely killed it in its opening weekend, bringing in $8.5 million from Friday and previews across 3,003 theaters! It officially hit US cinemas on October 24, 2025, but Crunchyroll subscribers got a sneak peek on Wednesday, October 22nd. This is huge for Sony and Crunchyroll, especially following the amazing success they had with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle! It’s their biggest win since Bad Boys: Ride or Die last year, which just proves how much appetite there is for great anime in theaters!

I was really struck by this photo taken by Thibault Camus for the Associated Press. It shows police guarding the entrance to the Galerie d’Apollon after that shocking jewelry theft on Sunday, October 19th. What’s really cool, though, is this guy in the background – a fedora and suit! He looks like he walked right out of an old black and white movie, it’s such a stark contrast to everything else happening. The stolen jewelry was apparently incredibly valuable, but that man really caught my eye in the picture.
The second season of Nobody Wants This is now available on Netflix, perfect for a Halloween binge! Viewers can once again enjoy performances by Bellamy Young and Kyle Brody, along with other talented cast members like Stephanie Faracy, who plays Lynn, Joanne’s quirky mother. While Faracy has a long history in film and TV, many will recognize her as Jenny Dennison, the mother of Max and Dani, from the original Hocus Pocus movie.
