Steam’s New Performance Metrics Can Tell The Difference Between Real And Fake Frames
With the latest update to its in-game diagnostic tools, Valve has incorporated a feature that allows distinguishing between frames produced by your computer hardware and those generated by your chosen frame rate enhancer, such as Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR. A fresh frames-per-second meter now displays the current frame rate with the enhancement enabled, and the actual frame rate being processed by the game itself. This can be helpful in identifying problems related to the technology.
