J.J. Abrams’ new, highly anticipated film aims to recapture the genuinely frightening atmosphere of the original 1993 movie. Director David Robert Mitchell ditches the over-the-top action of recent sequels and places a realistic 1980s family directly into the world of dinosaurs. The End of Oak Street promises a fresh and terrifying survival story, and it’s a welcome return to true horror for fans of creature features and dinosaur films.

The show accurately portrays the basic facts of what happened. John tried to fly his Piper Saratoga from Caldwell, New Jersey, to Martha’s Vineyard and then on to Hyannis, Massachusetts, with Carolyn and her sister Lauren on board. They took off at 8:40 p.m. on July 16th, flying east along the Connecticut coastline. Over the ocean near Martha’s Vineyard, John became confused about his location and lost control of the plane. When the plane didn’t arrive, search teams were dispatched. Four days later, the wreckage and the bodies of all three passengers were discovered.

Following the death of Director Vance, the NCIS team faces uncertainty, though the Major Crimes Response Team is able to return to work. In a surprising reveal, Vance informs the agency that NCIS will be closing its doors – news that Parker already knew. Ultimately, Vance’s actions during the Billy Fuentes case ensure NCIS survives, leaving the team to find a strong new leader.

Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to come out on December 17, 2027, following Avengers: Doomsday by about a year. Now, Lionsgate has announced that the sequel to The Housemaid, titled The Housemaid’s Secret, will also be released on that same date, creating a box office competition between the two films.

After finding success with the 2004 film Garden State, Zach Braff started working on television series. He first collaborated with showrunner Bill Lawrence on his most famous show, and the two quickly became a team. Braff directed several episodes of Lawrence’s medical comedy, then joined him on popular shows like Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso and Shrinking. Most recently, they worked together on episodes three and four of HBO’s new comedy series.

Absolute Superman #18, written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Rafa Sanoval, begins in Ancient Egypt. We meet Teth-Adam, a young slave suffering under a harsh pharaoh – a story many comic book readers and fans of the DC Extended Universe will recognize. However, this version introduces a magical woman who inspires Teth-Adam’s ambitions, a character who is typically portrayed as a male member of the Justice League in the core DC Universe.

As a huge Superman fan, it was tough seeing Henry Cavill step down, but I’m really excited about David Corenswet taking on the role in James Gunn’s reboot. He’s the first actor to lead a film in Gunn’s new DC Universe, which really shows how important Superman is to the whole thing. And now, we’ve gotten our first glimpse of what’s next for Superman after his own movie, and it looks like things are heading in a seriously cool direction!
