Minority Mindset

Lots of rumors were circulating, and it’s now been confirmed: Brainiac will be the villain in the upcoming Man of Tomorrow movie. This announcement comes before James Gunn and DC Studios have cast an actor to play the incredibly intelligent, green android villain – who is known as one of Superman’s biggest enemies.

In addition to the familiar faces, two more prominent actors returned, though one only appeared briefly at the end of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. We were also introduced to the story’s new villain and her key accomplices, because the Now You See Me team always needs a strong opponent to challenge them with their elaborate schemes.

The Conjuring: Last Rites stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Tony Spera, Steve Coulter, Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Beau Gadsdon, Kíla Lord Cassidy, John Brotherton and Shannon Kook. Michael Chaves, who took over the reins of the franchise after James Wan helmed the first two films, directed Last Rites based on a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Baldoni wrote to Wilson after a tense argument with Reynolds and Lively in January 2024. Baldoni claimed Reynolds spoke to him condescendingly, like he was a child. They also allegedly told him and Jamey Heath that their public personas were misleading and that having a podcast created a false sense of security for listeners. Apparently, Reynolds (and possibly Lively) believe Baldoni’s podcast about masculinity makes people think he’s a trustworthy person, which they consider dangerous. It’s ironic to think someone’s safety could be affected by whether or not a person hosts a podcast – you might even hear about yourself on one!

Pluribus blends elements of zombie, alien invasion, and post-apocalyptic stories, but ultimately feels fresh and original. The story begins after a virus from space kills hundreds of millions, and those who survive are linked by ‘the Joining’ – a telepathic connection that erases their individual selves, creating a single, collective consciousness. Only thirteen people remain as individuals, and in the second episode, the tough and realistic Carol Sturka seeks them out, hoping they can work together to save humanity. She tries to inspire them with a speech about fixing the world, but Diabaté, one of the other survivors, simply asks, “Why?”

Rusch hoped sharing personal struggles with the cast would build stronger connections during her second season. However, she felt she couldn’t be open because she was constantly defending herself against false claims. These included questions about her new cannabis business, the details of getting back together with her ex-husband, and rumors about dating another Housewife’s former partner. Despite the intense scrutiny she faced on camera, fans have been incredibly supportive and are excited to meet her at BravoCon.
