You’ll start in the home base in PowerWash Simulator 2, and it acts as your central hub. From here, you’ll accept jobs and decorate with furniture you buy. You can even find the hidden gnome right away when you begin playing!
PowerWash Simulator 2’s main campaign includes 38 jobs. If you’re playing by yourself, it will likely take between 30 and 35 hours to complete them all. Some jobs are quick, like cleaning a scooter or bike, and only take a few minutes. Others, such as the motel or shopping mall, are much bigger and can take 2 to 3 hours to finish.

New gacha banners will guarantee you get the featured 5-star character, but it will take up to 110 pulls to achieve this. The current system, where you have a 50% chance of getting a different 5-star character after 80 pulls, will still be available on “Chance” banners. For this update, only the banners featuring the new character, Kira “Messa” Kitazato, and the returning character, YUI “BUI”, will use this new guaranteed system.

Similar to the first game, PowerWash Simulator 2 offers a surprisingly peaceful experience. The satisfying act of cleaning everything from walls to cars can be incredibly relaxing and help you get lost in the moment. I initially found myself completely absorbed in the game, but before long, I fell back into my usual habit of trying to do too many things at once. This game really asks you to slow down and focus, which I unfortunately wasn’t able to consistently do.
FuturLab plans to release three downloadable content packs that you’ll need to purchase, and three free job packs, as part of the Caldera Chronicles for PowerWash Simulator 2. They’re also working on bug fixes, new cosmetic items, and community events for the game.
Tero Virtala stepped down as Remedy Entertainment’s CEO after leading the company since 2016. Remedy has begun searching for a replacement, and Virtala will assist with the transition before leaving his role.
