It’s time to revisit beloved Christmas classics like Love Actually, Home Alone, Die Hard, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, The Holiday, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and It’s A Wonderful Life. These films remain popular year after year because of their heartwarming stories and ability to capture the real meaning of the holidays.
As a huge cinema fan, I was completely drawn into The Abandons. It’s a story about conflict – families fighting over land, hidden truths, and just trying to survive – and the themes of revenge and what’s right and wrong really resonated with me. The cast – including Lucas Till, Aisling Franciosi, Nick Robinson, and Diana Silvers – is fantastic, and the whole thing feels epic in scope while still being incredibly emotionally raw. Honestly, even though it’s a new show, it feels like a modern take on a classic Western. If you’re someone who loves stories about people pushed to their limits, characters who aren’t simply good or evil, and that feeling of living right on the edge of the law, trust me – you’ll be craving more after you finish watching The Abandons.

Animation is a natural fit for imaginative stories, offering limitless ways to create fantastical worlds. Many beloved animated films draw on classic fairy tale elements, like Beauty and the Beast. But films like Princess Mononoke stand out with their complex stories and deeper meanings, using fantasy to explore important themes.
Let me tell you about filming. We shot the whole movie outdoors, and it was incredibly cold. We were in New Jersey at the time, and as an Italian who’s used to warm weather, the freezing temperatures really got me into character. Standing there in the snow with a wooden stake… I wasn’t pretending to be cold, I genuinely was!
