Netflix had a huge November with several popular new shows, including the surprise hit The Asset, the thrilling series The Beast in Me, and the compelling true crime drama Death by Lightning.

I’ve noticed a big difference between the Batman movies and the animated series. The animated shows get so many more episodes, which lets DC really explore a huge range of villains. It’s also where they’ve come up with some fantastic original characters – Harley Quinn being the biggest success story! Like Harley, Volcana actually started in an animated series, Superman: The Animated Series, and now she’s showing up in the new Batman show, which is really cool to see.

Flight Risk has risen to the top of the streaming chart on HBO Max in the United States following its debut on the platform on November 26. Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, and Topher Grace star in the claustrophobic thriller, which mostly takes place on an airplane. Dockery plays an Air Marshal tasked with transporting a fugitive, potrayed by Grace, in an airplane piloted by a mysterious man with a hat (Wahlberg). Beneath that hat, however, is a severely balding head with a blood thirst, as it is immediately made clear that he is not who he claims to be. Read the official plot synopsis:

Okay, so Starbucks dropped this adorable glass bear cup earlier this month to kick off the holiday season, and it came with a straw and the cutest little Starbucks hat as a lid! But seriously, they only put out a tiny amount in each store. It was crazy! People were lining up hours before the stores even opened, desperate to get their hands on one. I’ve been seeing all these TikToks about it – people are sharing stories of how quickly they sold out, and even some baristas apparently buying them or hiding them for regulars! It’s become a whole thing!

Interestingly, one of the best Westerns made recently is actually a remake of an older film. The 2010 movie True Grit is a new version of the 1969 film with the same name, which originally starred John Wayne. This time, Jeff Bridges plays the lead role, alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Matt Damon. The remake was very well-received by both critics and audiences, earning 10 Academy Award nominations.
