Normally, finding out what Max has been experiencing in Henry’s mental prison would be a highlight, but this episode has so much going on that it feels less important. Sadie Sink does a great job delivering a lot of necessary information, but this storyline mainly serves as a pause in the action. Max explains everything that happened in season four to Holly, then fills her in on what occurred after Max died and was brought back to life, leading to her current comatose state. Essentially, Max figures out she’s stuck in a labyrinth of Henry’s memories. We revisit the traumatic Hawkins Lab massacre (again), she wanders through a 1959 version of Hawkins High, and ultimately ends up facing Henry’s memories of her.

The responses offered some interesting perspectives. Many pointed out that Thanksgiving isn’t widely celebrated outside of the United States. Edgar Wright, a British filmmaker, noted he doesn’t have a strong opinion on the holiday. Jorge Gutierrez, director of The Book of Life and Maya and the Three, shared that growing up on the U.S.-Mexico border, Thanksgiving didn’t really make sense to him, and isn’t universally observed, especially with the rise of streaming. Patrick McHale, creator of the autumn-themed cartoon Over the Garden Wall, also mentioned that in England, turkey is typically associated with Christmas.

James Cameron recently shared on the podcast The Town with Matthew Belloni that he almost produced the movie Wicked about 15 years ago, shortly after its Broadway premiere. He’s a big fan of the story and The Wizard of Oz is one of his favorite films. However, Cameron explained he ultimately decided against the project because he wasn’t satisfied with the music.

Skylar Gisondo, known for playing Superman, is joining the voice cast of the upcoming Shrek 5 movie, Universal Studios has confirmed. The news was revealed by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb of NBC during the live broadcast of the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, coinciding with the appearance of the Shrek float, which also gave viewers a first look at Shrek’s now-grown children.
