With some people starting to feel tired of superhero movies, Marvel Studios might benefit from focusing more on characters like Deadpool. The success of Deadpool & Wolverine showed that Marvel films with mature content can be huge hits. These characters could bring a grittier, more violent edge to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, exploring complex themes and chaos – potentially leading to similar success for future installments like Deadpool 3.

I’m really excited about the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, One Battle After Another, and I’ve been checking for when it’ll be available to stream. While there’s no official date yet, Warner Bros. usually brings their movies to HBO Max pretty quickly. If their past releases are anything to go by, I’m guessing we’ll be able to watch it around December 12th. I’m also really intrigued by Chase Infiniti, the new actor starring alongside DiCaprio!

Ego Nwodim speaks warmly about her seven years on Saturday Night Live. She says she learned a lot and had a great time, but felt it was time to pursue other opportunities. Nwodim joined the show in 2018 as a featured player and became a main cast member in 2020. Her hiring as the seventh Black woman on SNL was both celebrated by Leslie Jones and seen as a sign of the show’s ongoing lack of diversity. Jones pointed out how difficult it was to be one of so few Black women on the cast and asked Nwodim if she felt pressure to represent so much. Nwodim said she was proud to be part of that group, especially with Punkie Johnson joining after her, and hopes the show continues to find and include diverse talent. She also expressed that while she enjoyed playing a wide variety of characters, some viewers didn’t fully appreciate the range of her performances. It’s unclear who Nwodim might be referencing with a subtle comment, but her ability to convincingly portray both Dionne Warwick and a Disney mom proves her incredible versatility.

Bob Newby was introduced in Season 2 of Stranger Things as Joyce Byers’ kindhearted, though somewhat awkward, boyfriend. While he remained unaware of the supernatural dangers facing Will and the town for much of the season, viewers quickly liked him for being a genuinely good person who cared deeply for Joyce and her sons. This made his death in the episode “Chapter Eight: The Mind Flayer” – where he was tragically killed by demodogs – particularly upsetting. The scene was so graphic that the show’s creators, the Duffer brothers, shared in an interview with Time Magazine that even their mother thought it was too intense. Interestingly, they also revealed that Bob’s original fate in earlier drafts of the script was even more gruesome.

Before the new movie came out, Daniel Craig’s appearance was a secret. It wasn’t until after the film was released that people found out about his cameo. This came about because Craig was filming the James Bond movie Spectre at the same time. He spoke with Ben Dixon, a second assistant director on both Spectre and The Force Awakens, about being in the new Star Wars film, and director J.J. Abrams made it happen.
