OpenAI released Sora 2 on October 1st, a tool that lets people create short videos. Almost immediately, social media filled with videos inspired by popular Japanese characters and animation styles, referencing franchises like Pokemon, Mario, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Demon Slayer.
