The upcoming series offers quick looks at several new monsters debuting in February 2026, and features the arrival of Kong in the eagerly awaited Apple TV show. One monster, a creature with tentacles, is thought to be Oodako, the Giant Octopus from the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla. This idea is strengthened by details in the series description, which mentions “a mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.”

The actor discussed this during an interview with Brandon Davis, host of Phase Hero. Bonnie Discepolo, who played Ali Jessop in Peacemaker, was also present. When Davis asked if Blackehart’s character, Happersen, followed Flag’s orders to find dimensional rifts out of fear of Lex Luthor’s punishment or disapproval, Blackehart responded by saying he’d seen a discussion about the same question on Reddit, and then continued with his thoughts.

Rajamouli, the director and writer, is currently filming his latest movie on location around the world. Although the exact storyline is still under wraps, its scope and adventurous nature are being compared to films like Indiana Jones and James Bond.

The cast of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t includes both new faces – Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, and Rosamund Pike – and returning favorites like Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman.

In a recent interview with Collider to promote her upcoming film, Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, Rosamund Pike discussed how streaming services’ constant push for fresh content – what she called the “terrible churn” – can quickly make older shows feel outdated.

Despite all the series’ current polish, some enjoyable features seem to have disappeared. The cooperative play of Double Dash is a clear example, and Mario Kart World offers fewer customization options than Mario Kart 8 (which, surprisingly, I think is a good thing). But in my opinion, Mario Kart DS was the peak of the series, packed with fantastic ideas, and I doubt future installments will ever be quite as innovative.
