You’re free to choose any name for the main character in Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake without affecting the story. However, Square Enix has officially referred to the hero as Gawain in promotional materials. Interestingly, an older version of the game, the Dragon Quest II CD Theater, calls the hero Allen.

Square Enix has confirmed that certain features won’t be added to the current version of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. While difficulty settings and improvements to how the game renders graphics might be added in a future update, finding the hidden locations and treasure chests is likely too much work to implement. Hopefully, though, we’ll see some changes down the line.

Even with the success of several popular X-Men films in the 2000s and 2010s, X-Men: The Animated Series continued to be considered the best version of the story for many fans. Revisiting the series now shows that this isn’t just because of fond memories. Many episodes still feel fresh and actually capture the spirit of the original comic books even better than the films do.
