Top actors like Austin Butler, Timothée Chalamet, Glen Powell, and Jacob Elordi are reportedly turning down roles in superhero movies. Comic book creator Rob Liefeld pointed this out in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting it’s one reason Marvel is relying more on familiar faces. Liefeld noted that Jacob Elordi specifically turned down the role of Superman, sharing a quote from a GQ interview as evidence. He believes this trend is a real issue for casting new male leads in these films.

The finale of Marty Supreme is unexpectedly touching, showing Marty deeply moved by his new baby. The filmmakers originally considered a different ending – a scene of an older Marty with his granddaughter – but decided against it. In hindsight, that alternate ending wouldn’t have been as powerful a way to finish the film.

A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) highlighted a report from insider Daniel Richtman stating that Marvel Studios is very interested in Jordan Peele directing a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. While this idea has been circulating for a while, Peele’s production company, Monkeypaw Productions, also acknowledged the possibility.

Despite this, Scott shared with Letterboxd that he believes his 1997 war movie G.I. Jane, starring Demi Moore, is the best pro-female movie ever made, even when compared to Thelma & Louise. I just heard some news about The Last of Us season 3, and it’s a bit of a bummer. Apparently, Danny Ramirez, who played Manny, won’t be able to continue in the role due to some scheduling issues. Variety and Nexus Point News were the first to report it. But don’t worry, the show’s already looking for a new actor to step in and play Manny, who’s a really important character as one of Abby’s allies. It’s sad to see Danny go, but I’m sure whoever they cast will do a great job!
