Enthusiasts of Overwatch are eager for the next LE SSERAFIM collaboration, yet some gamers find it challenging to distinguish between the characters in the newly unveiled outfits.
Overwatch is teaming up with K-Pop sensation LE SSERAFIM once more, this time on March 18th. Players can expect to purchase unique skins themed around characters like D.Va, Ashe, Illari, Juno, and Mercy as part of the collaboration. These collab skins are often highly anticipated in the game, and the LE SSERAFIM collaboration is no exception.
After the unveiling of the five characters’ skins in promotional artwork, a number of fans are finding it difficult to distinguish between them. In fact, some enthusiasts have taken it upon themselves to make minor adjustments to the designs in order to more accurately represent each character.
Overwatch 2’s next LE SSERAFIM skins are hard to tell apart
Although each skin appears unique and has a thoughtful design, critics find it challenging to identify characters solely based on the artwork, leading to confusion among fans.
“I can’t even tell who’s who in this, am I crazy?” asked one fan on X.
Another player on Reddit commented, “It seems clearer within the game itself,” but “in the artworks, only Juno appears familiar.
Critics pointed out that several designs lacked the likeness of the original hero and failed to capture the essence and artistic style of the character.
After looking at the names, I can only identify Juno and Illari from the group photo; it’s really puzzling to me – who are all the others?
A scuffed edit to see if I could get Ashe & Illari to look more like themselves. Also bonus Juno with her original hair colours. (No hate, just for fun!)

One enthusiast went a step further by reworking the characters’ skins to enhance their distinctiveness, for instance, altering Juno and Ashe’s hair color to match their original shades.
The designs for the in-game collaboration haven’t been unveiled as of now, making it difficult to identify characters clearly. Nevertheless, the concept art for this second set of LE SSERAFIM skins isn’t instilling much confidence, and some critics believe these skins deviate from Overwatch’s traditional aesthetic.
Regarding the skins from the previous event, they were easily identifiable, but these are quite different, except perhaps for Juno’s. I appreciate their effort to experiment with new skin designs, but this one seems to have gone a bit overboard.
No matter if these new skins are already your favorites or grow on you while they’re unveiled in-game, mark your calendars for March 18th because that’s when this collaboration event kicks off and these skins will become available! Plus, if you missed out on some older skins’ color variations earlier, don’t worry – there’ll be an opportunity to grab them during the event as well.
