In a recent reveal, developers of Overwatch 2 have disclosed that three characters have seized control of the new Stadium mode due to their high selection frequency.

In Season 16, a fresh gameplay style called Stadium was introduced, breaking away from conventional Overwatch battles and showcasing each hero’s remarkable capabilities. Matches are structured across seven exciting rounds, allowing players to strategically pick and use powerful abilities to construct their ultimate build.

initially, the team has just 17 characters, but there are numerous ways to make each character effective. Yet, certain ones have quickly become prominent in gameplay, as Blizzard has shared the most frequently used heroes thus far.

In a Reddit AMA, the game’s data analyst, Ben Trautman, disclosed that Juno, Soldier 76, and Reinhardt are the most frequently chosen heroes for their respective roles, although there are some characters who have given them a tough competition in the popularity category. Unfortunately, detailed pick rates for stadiums aren’t common knowledge.

In summary, Trautman stated that Soldier 76 is significantly ahead of all other characters in terms of performance. Regarding the Support heroes, Juno is the most frequently chosen, while the others are nearly equal to her in popularity, with the exception of Lucio who trails slightly behind but is still a highly capable character.

Much like Soldier, Reinhardt stands out as a top choice among tanks, while the other tanks are often chosen at nearly equal rates.

As someone who’s spent countless hours in the gaming world, it probably doesn’t shock you to hear this, but ever since Stadium made its debut, these three heroes have been a regular fixture. It seems like nearly every team I encounter has at least one of them on their roster.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve found myself deeply captivated by Juno in our game. She stands out amongst the rest due to her versatility, particularly when it comes to dealing damage (DPS). With the right blend of powers, she can unleash an all-out assault that’s hard to beat.

In the meantime, Reinhardt stands out due to his nearly indestructible shield and capability of soaring through the sky, which makes him exceptionally powerful as a tank.
