Overwatch 2 is giving out up to five loot boxes that players can unlock for a limited time. Here’s how you can get them.
Season 15 of Overwatch 2 has brought about some significant alterations in the game. The developers have introduced a new feature called Perks, which enables players to modify their hero abilities as they play. Additionally, loot boxes have been reintroduced into the game after an extended absence.
Loot boxes are one of the ways you can grab free cosmetics. Although they give them out random items, they’re definitely a welcome addition as players have managed to unlock a plethora of rare skins, and even weapons, that haven’t been available in the shop just from them.
Now, if you’ve run out of the loot boxes yet can’t resist the urge to open some more, you’re in luck, as Blizzard is giving away more loot boxes – though you better be quick as they won’t be around forever.
How to get Overwatch 2 loot boxes from Twitch Drops
Blizzard has announced a new Twitch Drops campaign. Instead of getting a specific skin, however, players can snatch up to five loot boxes from it.
To open these loot boxes, simply tune in to Overwatch 2 livestreams on Twitch. Keep watching until you reach the specified number of hours.

Below, you’ll find more details about the minimum hour for each lootbox available.
- Watch for 2 hours and claim the reward Lootbox
- Watch for 4 hours and claim the reward Lootbox
- Watch for 6 hours and claim the reward Lootbox
- Watch for 8 hours and claim the reward Lootbox
- Watch for 10 hours and claim the reward Lootbox
The rewards can be claimed from March 17th, 2025 to March 30th, 2025. So, you have plenty of time until these rewards are unlocked during this period.
As usual, you can track your progress by clicking your icon at the top right and selecting the “Drops and Rewards” tab from the drop-down menu.
In addition, ensure that you have connected your Battle.net and Twitch accounts to get the in-game rewards. If you haven’t linked them yet, follow these instructions:
- Login to your account via the Battle.net site.
- Select Connections on the left tab.
- Scroll down until you find Twitch, and click the “+Connect” option.
- Follow the rest of the instructions.
After completing the task, you will be able to claim your in-game rewards. Just remember that there might be a delay, so if they don’t appear right away, it’s best to wait patiently.
