‘Outlander’ Actor Graham McTavish to Star in Neil Marshall’s Survival Thriller ‘Gunn’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Actor Graham McTavish, recognized for his performances in “The Hobbit” and “Outlander,” will appear in the upcoming action-horror movie “Gunn.” This film is helmed by director Neil Marshall, who has previously worked on “Game of Thrones” and “Dog Soldiers.

The script ‘Gunn,’ penned by Doug Rao, unfolds as a harrowing survival horror tale that takes place on a North Sea oil rig invaded by a cult steeped in pagan beliefs. This screenplay was honored with the Gold Prize at the Page International Screenwriting Awards.

Rao recently stepped into directorial roles for the first time with the gripping psychological thriller “Dirty Boy”, featuring McTavish. This film received the Best Film accolade at the Maverick Movie Awards. Next up is “Gunn” where Marshall makes a comeback to complex, edge-of-your-seat thrillers similar to “Dog Soldiers” and “The Descent”.

Rao directed his first movie, “Dirty Boy”, which McTavish starred in. This film won the Best Film award at the Maverick Movie Awards. Marshall is now returning to making high-level thrillers like “Dog Soldiers” and “The Descent” with a new movie called “Gunn”.

Under the flag of his production company, Citizen Skull, which has been involved in projects such as “Northanger Abbey,” “Manson Family Vacation Lair,” and “I Hate Myself and Want to Die” recently, Mark Myers will collaborate with John Hermann (“Standing Up”) and Rao on a new project.

At present, the project is being prepared ahead of the Cannes Film Market. It’s anticipated that filming will begin towards the end of this year, with locations in both Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. Negotiations regarding sales are ongoing at the moment.
