Out of video memory crash in inZOI? We have a fix

The long-awaited moment has arrived! InZOI has officially started its Early Access journey on Steam, following an unplanned delay. Despite being incomplete, many enthusiasts are already singing its praises. However, it’s important to remember that even the most beautiful rosebeds have their thorns, and InZOI is no exception. The developers have addressed some of these issues, such as removing Denuvo, but others still persist, affecting players’ experience. One of the most common complaints is the “Out of video memory” error, but fortunately, a potential solution for this problem is on the horizon! Here’s what you need to do to eliminate it.

Out of video memory error in inZOI fix

It seems that despite the substantial hardware demands, especially when enabling the Smart Zoi experimental feature which increases these requirements even further, many enthusiasts are eager to run the inZOI game on their high-end systems equipped with RTX 4000 and 5000 series graphics cards and the latest Intel processors. However, it’s worth noting that these top-tier components often come with their limitations, and can sometimes trigger an “Out of video memory” issue. Fortunately, in most instances, the solution is straightforward.

It’s no secret that 13th and 14th generation Intel processors have been causing issues for their users. Contrary to what one might think, this particular problem is not related to video memory, which is typically associated with graphics cards. Instead, it stems from a CPU-related malfunction that the manufacturer is already aware of. If you’re experiencing this issue, the most effective solution is to visit your motherboard’s official website and update the BIOS/UEFI to its most recent version. It’s also beneficial to ensure all your drivers are up-to-date.

Even though there might be other possible reasons, it’s also plausible that the issue you’re experiencing is due to insufficient video memory on your GPU. To alleviate this problem, you can either adjust the graphics settings within the game itself or consider upgrading your graphics card. Unfortunately, there isn’t a quick fix for low specs. To confirm if this is the source of your trouble, take a look at the “Performance” tab in the GPU section of Task Manager while the game is running, to see how much memory is being utilized.

As a dedicated fan, I can assure you that the developers at Krafton aren’t turning a blind eye to our concerns. In fact, they’ve made it clear through one of their messages on the official inZOI Discord server that they are actively investigating this matter from their end.

With this speedy solution in place, you should find it relaxing to unwind within this snug space. Be mindful to tend well to your Zois, for danger is ever-present nearby. Enjoy yourself!
