Oscilloscope Laboratories Buys Elizabeth Lo’s Love Triangle Documentary ‘Mistress Dispeller'(EXCLUSIVE)

Oscilloscope Laboratories has obtained the North American distribution rights for Elizabeth Lo’s latest documentary, “Mistress Dispeller,” which made its debut at the Venice Film Festival. Co-produced by Anonymous Content and Impact Partners, this film chronicles a woman in China who is determined to salvage her marriage. She employs an undercover professional to disrupt her husband’s extramarital relationship. Lo was granted exclusive insights into the lives of all involved parties, allowing her to delve deeply into the complexities of a love triangle from various perspectives.

Lo, who previously directed 2021’s “Stray,” a movie about street dogs in Istanbul, is now presenting her second major project. Critics are praising her latest work, with EbMaster particularly impressed, stating that the film’s climax is moving and thought-provoking, leaving everyone, including the audience, with a meaningful and introspective takeaway.

In the making of “Mistress Dispeller”, there’s a trio: Lo, Emma D. Miller, and Maggie Li. This movie comes from After Argos Films and Marcona Media. Anonymous Content and Impact Partners are collaborating on this project alongside CMP and The Concordia Studio Fellowship. Charlotte Munch Bengtsen is the one responsible for editing the footage.

The executive producers for this project are Jenny Raskin, Kelsey Koenig, Geralyn White Dreyfous, Nick Shumaker, Jessica Grimshaw, David Levine, Dawn Olmstead, Rahdi Taylor, Davis Guggenheim, Steve Cohen, and Paula Froehle. Additionally, Lauren Haber and Marni E. J. Grossman both held the position of co-executive producers.
