‘Only Murders in the Building’ Renewed for Season 5 at Hulu

As a seasoned cinema enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless series, I must say that the renewal of “Only Murders in the Building” for Season 5 at Hulu is nothing short of delightful news. The combination of mystery, comedy, and a star-studded cast makes this show a standout in today’s entertainment landscape.

“Only Murders in the Building” has been renewed for Season 5 at Hulu, EbMaster has learned.

Similar to previous seasons, the much-loved mystery-comedy series will feature 10 episodes in its fifth season. The announcement of its renewal was made just over a week following the debut of Season 4 on August 27th. It is set to air from August 27th until October 29th

During the latest chapter, the primary threesome – consisting of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez – embark on a fast-paced journey to Los Angeles as a film studio intends to transform their podcast into a movie. Simultaneously, they endeavor to unravel the mystery surrounding the demise of Sazz Pataki, who was once Martin’s character’s stunt double and is now deceased

In addition to the main cast for Season 4, we have Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon joining the lineup

Martin teamed up with John Hoffman to develop “Only Murders in the Building.” In this endeavor, they both function as executive producers together with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. Additionally, Hoffman holds the role of showrunner. The production company responsible is 20th Television

The program has garnered praise from both critics and viewers ever since its initial release. More recently, Season 3 earned a total of 21 Emmy nominations, with Martin, Short, and Gomez each receiving recognition for their roles as outstanding lead actors and actresses in the comedy series category

Each season on Rotten Tomatoes has typically received an impressive 97% approval rating from critics. In her review for EbMaster, Alison Herman stated that as the show gains popularity (with Meryl Streep joining the cast!) and becomes increasingly outrageous, the suspects in Season 4 have even more vibrant personalities and well-known faces than we’re accustomed to seeing among the co-op committee members
