Ever since he graced our screens way back in episode 1, this Marine officer has been a steady presence, his dream of becoming an Admiral driving him through thick and thin.
Koby is a crucial figure in the world of One Piece, yet there remain many mysteries about his past and personality that have yet to be fully revealed.
In the initial installment of One Piece, Koby first made his appearance. He was seized by Captain Alvida and compelled to serve under her for a span of two years. Yet, his ambition lay in attaining the rank of Navy Admiral – an aspiration that came true following his encounter with Luffy, as he managed to defeat Captain Alvida.
It’s been two years since that time, and Koby has advanced to become a Marine officer. He demonstrated remarkable power when he faced Avalo Pizarro, one of the Ten Titanic Captains from the Blackbeard Pirates. Despite this, there remains much that is still unclear about him, even 27 years after the manga’s inception.

As stated by Artur from Ohara’s Library, we are soon to discover Koby’s original kingdom. Although he appears to be stranded in the East Blue Sea, his true origin remains unclear. Vivre Cards function as informative pages within a One Piece databook, providing essential details about specific characters.
Each set of cards contains unique characters on individual cards. Among these, there’s a specific card that unveils details about Koby, alongside additional cards focusing on Helmepp, Prince Grus, and the Cross Guild.
Following the event in Hachinosu, Koby along with fellow SWORD members are taking time to heal and recover, all while tuning into Vegapunk’s transmission. Now, Koby plans on participating in the quest for the One Piece treasure, aiming to thwart Luffy’s aspirations of realizing his dream.
In the two-page layout of One Piece Chapter 1121, we find prominently featured key characters from the climactic story arc, among them Koby, as well as Luffy, Shanks, Akainu, and numerous others.
