‘One Piece’ Season 2 Casts Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk

As a seasoned movie critic with a penchant for recognizing talent, I’m thrilled to see Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik joining the cast of “One Piece” Season 2. With their extensive resumes and versatile acting chops, they are sure to breathe life into their characters, Dr. Kureha and Dr. Hiriluk respectively.


Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik have been cast in “One Piece” Season 2, EbMaster has learned.

On their social media platforms on Wednesday, Netflix revealed that Sagal has been cast as Dr. Kureha and Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk for the live-action version of the beloved manga series.

They’ll be joined by other fresh cast members for Season 2: Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, David Dastmalchian, Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray, Clive Russell, Callum Kerr, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, and Ty Keogh.

Actress Katey Sagal gained fame from her lead roles on TV shows such as “Sons of Anarchy,” “Married…With Children,” “8 Simple Rules,” and more recently, “The Conners.” She’s also well-known for voicing the character Leela in the hit animated series “Futurama,” which was brought back to life at Hulu. In addition to her acting skills, Sagal is a talented musician who has produced several albums.

She is repped by CAA and B and B Management.

Lately, Harelik has made appearances on television shows like “Presumed Innocent,” “The Rookie,” “The Morning Show,” and “Preacher.” Additionally, he’s been featured in movies such as “Election,” “Jurassic Park 3,” “42,” and “Trumbo.”

He is repped by Hassman Tolstonog Entertainment.

“In ‘One Piece’, Iñaki Godoy portrays Monkey D. Luffy, the head of the Straw Hat Pirates. Alongside his team, they embark on a voyage across the vast Blue Sea in pursuit of the legendary One Piece treasure. The one who finds it will be crowned as the King of Pirates. The series also features Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.”

Season 2 is currently in production. Matt Owens and Joe Tracz serve as writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers on Season 2. “One Piece’s” original creator Eiichiro Oda and former co-showrunner Steven Maeda also executive produce along with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, and Chris Symes. The series is created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix.
