The Harry Potter series on HBO Max has commenced production, sparking excitement among fans eager for additional insights into the making-of process. At this point, we know that one season will be dedicated to each book, and some of the cast members have been revealed, including the trio portraying Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
HP enthusiasts, on the other hand, have been closely monitoring any unrelated hints about potential production and gathering information based on them. Lately, they stumbled upon a casting call suggesting that the Harry Potter series might introduce a character previously absent from the movies – Professor Silvanus Kettleburn.
As a gamer, my eyes light up as I catch wind of another opportunity from the same talent agency. This time, they’re on the hunt for a barber to step into the limelight as a featured background artist in a massive global TV series! The magic happens at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Watford – yep, that’s where the Harry Potter series was filmed!
The proposed filming schedule aligns with the supposed commencement of work on the series’ production, as a barber is said to be required on set on July 30th. Fans speculate that shooting might begin towards the end of July since John Lithgow hinted at joining the set in early August.
Another significant reason why Barber could potentially be connected to Harry Potter is because fans anticipate a more authentic portrayal, wishing for additional scenes of the young wizard’s life among non-magical people. In the second chapter of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” it was revealed that Aunt Petunia, frustrated with Harry returning from the barber with his hair unchanged, had cut his hair very short. However, when he woke up the next day, his hair was back to its original length as Aunt Petunia had abruptly trimmed it. Given this, fans speculate that the producers of the show might incorporate a scene depicting Harry’s visit to the barber and demonstrating how the boy inadvertently employed magic to make his hair regrow at an unusually rapid pace.
It’s important to mention that this announcement could possibly be linked to another production as well – let me rephrase, another potential candidate is “House of the Dragon,” which, like the previously mentioned studio, is where they are also filming. Considering that the casting call specifies a man with long hair and no sleeve tattoos, it seems plausible. In fact, the detailed requirement for long hair might be more fitting in the context of “House of the Dragon.
It’s possible this could be some creative guidance, and it doesn’t seem too far-fetched to look for a barber for “Harry Potter”, considering the creators are striving for a truer adaptation and might prefer to stick closely to the original source material as much as feasible.
